Trump commented on restrictions on Starlink operations in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump commented on the restrictions in the operation of the Starlink satellite communication system in Ukraine, stating that he trusts SpaceX head Elon Musk.

He said this to journalists at the White House.

When asked why billionaire Elon Musk (founder and CEO of SpaceX, which operates Starlink — ed.) has such significant influence over the course of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Trump stated that he considers him a fair person.

"Elon would never do anything bad. I know him very well. He is a fair person. And you know, it's an unusual situation when they [the Ukrainian government — ed.] are negotiating with a private company," the US president noted.

As a reminder, on October 14, Ukrainian officials reported restrictions in Starlink's operation, due to which terminals lost connectivity when moving at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. According to them, this disrupted the execution of missions involving drones. As Reuters reports, on October 23, five Ukrainian officials confirmed to the agency that the restrictions remain in place.
