# 733 Pull-ups in One Hour: Australian Athlete Sets World Record

Australian athlete Jade Henderson has set a new world record for the number of pull-ups in one hour, reports UPI.
The 32-year-old Henderson entered the Guinness Book of World Records, breaking an achievement that had stood for nearly ten years. In 60 minutes, she managed to complete 733 pull-ups - eight more than the previous record set in 2016 by Eva Clarke (725 repetitions).
To achieve such a result, Jade performed an average of more than 12 pull-ups per minute. According to the athlete, the main goal for her was to test the limits of her physical capabilities.
"I've always been interested in doing what no one has done before. I wanted to find out what my mind and body are capable of," Henderson shared.
Initially, the athlete planned to set the record in a 24-hour format, but an injury forced her to change her plans. During one of her training sessions, she did 3,500 pull-ups in 12 hours, after which she suffered a partial tear of her bicep and tendon. After six weeks of recovery, Jade decided to focus on the one-hour format to reduce the risk of repeated injuries.
"I didn't set a specific goal for the number of repetitions. I understood that breaking 725 would be extremely difficult, so I just tried to do a little more," the athlete noted.
