People's Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Chursina has passed away.

"We regret to announce that after a prolonged illness, People's Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Alekseevna Chursina has passed away. Loved by millions of viewers, one of a kind and irreplaceable, a true heroine, a great Russian dramatic actress," the statement reads.
It should be noted that over her long career in cinema, Lyudmila Chursina appeared in more than 150 films. Among her most well-known works are the films "A Don Story," "Two Tickets for a Matinee," "Virineya," "The Sullen River," "Zhuravushka," "The Shield and the Sword," "Lyubov Yarovaya," as well as the historical film "The Tale of How Tsar Peter Married Off His Moor."
