American football player set a unique record at the World Cup

US national soccer team defender Chris Richards set an achievement that hadn't been seen at World Cups in 60 years.

This was reported by the Sofascore Football portal.

In the group stage match against Paraguay (4:1), all 83 passes made by Richards were accurate. As the source notes, no player who made at least 80 passes in a single game had previously achieved 100% accuracy in this category. Statistics have been tracked since 1966.
