The FIFA World Cup kicks off

On Thursday, June 11, the FIFA World Cup kicks off, which millions of fans around the world follow with great interest.

As reported by BAKU.WS, in the opening match of the 23rd World Cup, the hosts of the tournament - the Mexican national team - will face the national team of the Republic of South Africa.

The first Group A match will begin at 23:00 Baku time and will be held at the "Mexico City" stadium. The match will be officiated by Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio.

In the second match of the day, the South Korean national team will play against the Czech Republic team. The match will take place at the "Estadio Akron" stadium and will begin at 06:00 Baku time.
