Iran has agreed not to charge vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz as part of a conflict resolution agreement with the United States.

This was reported by Fox News, citing a senior official from the American administration.

"Iran will open the strategic strait, where no fees will be charged," the channel reported.

Additionally, it is specified that if the agreement is signed, the United States will lift the blockade and Iran will open the strait. Only after that will the strait's waters begin to be demined.

On June 13, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the signing of the agreement between Washington and Tehran is scheduled for Sunday, June 14. After that, according to the head of the White House, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to everyone. Trump specified that Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons through purchase, development, or any other means. The American leader added that the United States intends to take nuclear materials from the Islamic Republic "at an appropriate time" and destroy them.
