Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump held a phone conversation during which they exchanged views on the trip of U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv.

This was reported to journalists by the aide to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov.

"In the mutually respectful and businesslike manner characteristic of the leaders, they exchanged views on the results of the September 5-6 trips of U.S. Presidential Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv," Ushakov said.

On September 5, a meeting took place in the Kremlin between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the American leader's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American president's son-in-law Jared Kushner; it lasted about 3 hours.
