Netanyahu called the swift regime change in Iran Israel's main objective
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the main objective of his country's foreign policy right now is regime change in Iran. In his opinion, this goal is achievable in the foreseeable future.
"I am convinced of our ability to eliminate this threat once and for all. That is, to overthrow this regime (the government in Tehran - editor's note). This is the main goal that still lies ahead of us, but its achievement is already near. It is not impossible. It is well within reach," Netanyahu asserted, his words released by the prime minister's office.
According to the Israeli prime minister, the Islamic republic is currently allegedly "weaker than ever" and "fighting for survival." "I say to our enemies: 'Don't mess with us. If you've learned anything, it's that you shouldn't mess with us. We have the strength, determination, and internal unity to defeat you, and this is what I wish for the people of Israel in the coming year, in the near future,'" he added.
Netanyahu made this statement at a meeting attended by Defense Minister Israel Katz, Israeli army Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir, and military leadership. The meeting was timed to coincide with the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah — the Jewish New Year, which will be celebrated this year from September 11 to 13.
