Sergey Zhukov appealed to the Supreme Court

A high-profile case is unfolding in the Supreme Court of Russia regarding the legendary hits of the band "Ruki Vverh!" (Hands Up!). The band's leader Sergey Zhukov has initiated legal proceedings, challenging the rights to the group's iconic phonograms.
The second founder of the group, Alexey Potekhin, has also joined the lawsuit. The defendants are the band's first producer Andrey Malikov and the record label "Jam".
According to the Supreme Court's press service, as reported by RIA Novosti, the plaintiffs are seeking to invalidate the agreements on the transfer of exclusive rights to phonograms and the granting of an exclusive license for their use.
The court case centers around 13 iconic compositions of the group, including such hits as "Where Are You, Girls," "My Baby," and "Someone Else's Lips."
