Ilham Aliyev congratulated Emomali Rahmon

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Dear Emomali Sharipovich,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and, through you, to your entire people the most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Over the past 35 years, thanks to your visionary and resolute leadership, Tajikistan has come a long way in development in the sphere of state-building, establishing internal stability and socio-economic progress, and has strengthened its authority and positions on the world stage. The history of Tajikistan's independence and all its achievements are associated with your name.

The strengthening of Azerbaijani-Tajik friendship and brotherhood, which reflect the will of our peoples bound by common religious, cultural, and historical roots, and their enrichment with new content every day, is a source of satisfaction. Undoubtedly, the active dialogue at the highest level, regular contacts, and close cooperation create conditions for even more rapid development and deepening of these relations.
