Ilham Aliyev's statements regarding the European Parliament have been widely covered in Georgian media
Georgian media widely covered the opinions of President Ilham Aliyev regarding the activities and position of the European Parliament (EP), which he expressed today at a meeting with participants of international conferences in Baku.
Leading television channels and news portals of Georgia actively quoted the head of state's statements concerning the Council of Europe and the EP in their publications and video materials.
The news portal of the "Imedi" television channel headlined the words of the President of Azerbaijan: "Being a member of the Council of Europe, we have faced this injustice, we continue to face it, and we will probably continue to face it in the future."
"Imedi" also paid attention to the head of state's remarks emphasizing that Azerbaijan is one of the few Muslim countries operating within European organizations and that he is well aware of the processes taking place in these structures.
Another statement that attracted the attention of Georgian media was the harsh position of the President of Azerbaijan regarding the EP. "Imedi," 1TV, "Rustavi 2," "NewsHub," and other news outlets headlined Ilham Aliyev's statement: "The European Parliament is a den of corrupt individuals."
The distributed materials note that the President of Azerbaijan, substantiating his position, referred to the corruption scandal in the EP and criticized the reaction of this structure to these events.
1TV in its coverage notes that Ilham Aliyev recalled the scandal related to corruption in the European Parliament and also criticized the attitude of this structure toward Armenia's occupation policy carried out against Azerbaijan.
Thus, the statements of the Azerbaijani leader, made in Baku, were presented to a wide audience across various media platforms in Georgia in both written and video formats.
