On September 29, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with the President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, Sister Raffaella Petrini.

As reported by AZERTAC, at the meeting, gratitude was expressed for the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Vatican, and the long-term support provided was highly appreciated. In particular, the significance of the cooperation established with the Holy See's hospital Bambino Gesù in the field of pediatric medicine was noted.

At the same time, issues related to the restoration of the Basilica of Saint Paul and the monuments located there, as well as the expansion of future activities in this direction, were discussed.

Sister Raffaella Petrini asked to convey greetings to the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban khanum Aliyeva. She expressed her desire to visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
