Expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran discussed in Tehran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received the Azerbaijani delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.

As reported by Oxu.Az, Shahin Mustafayev conveyed the greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Iranian president.

President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude, conveying his best wishes to his counterpart.

During the meeting, it was noted that the shared historical and cultural ties between the two peoples create a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations.

The parties also highly praised the current state of friendly and good-neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.

The meeting discussed the prospects for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the trade-economic, transport, and energy sectors.

It was emphasized that the successful continuation of joint projects being implemented in the region will make a significant contribution to the development of both countries and the region as a whole.
