Writer Dmitry Bykov has been placed on an international wanted list

Writer Dmitry Bykov (included in the Russian Ministry of Justice's register of foreign agents) has been placed on an international wanted list.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by RIA Novosti with reference to case materials.
In spring, the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case against Bykov for spreading fake news about the Russian Armed Forces and evading the obligations of a foreign agent. The department explained that he publicly posted a video on one of the video hosting platforms containing deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces against the civilian population of Ukraine. In addition, the writer, in violation of the foreign agent activity regulations, did not submit information to the authorized body as required by law.
Bykov is a writer, poet, publicist, critic, and educator. He is a two-time winner of the "National Bestseller" literary award. He regularly participated in unauthorized protest actions. The Russian Ministry of Justice included him in the list of foreign agents in July 2022.
