Rovshan Najaf met with ministers of Uzbekistan: what projects were discussed?

On September 17, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf held meetings with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the Minister of Energy Sherzod Khodjaev.

During the meetings, it was noted that thanks to the political will of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, relations between the two countries have risen to the level of "eternal friendship." In this regard, the dynamic development of economic ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, including partnerships in the energy sector, was emphasized.

The parties discussed the project for the construction of new gas stations under the SOCAR brand in Uzbekistan, as well as the work being carried out within the framework of the "Ustyurt" investment blocks. It was noted that the implementation of these initiatives will contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on issues of expanding interaction between SOCAR and Uzbek companies, the implementation of joint investment projects, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
