Ilham Aliyev: If the UN system had functioned properly, we would not have had to reclaim our territories by force

President Ilham Aliyev, while receiving security leaders of OTS member states on September 17, touched upon issues of violations of international law.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the head of state said: "Azerbaijan faced this for 30 years. We had to reclaim our right on the battlefield. But if international mechanisms had worked, and if the UN system had functioned properly, and, by the way, I also spoke about this in my brief address within the framework of the SCO, since the topic was related to the UN and international organizations, we would not have had to reclaim our territories by force. There would not have been so many casualties."
