What level of inflation is forecast in Azerbaijan next year?

The government of Azerbaijan forecasts average annual inflation for 2027 at 5.3%.

These figures are contained in the Ministry of Finance's review of preliminary budget indicators for the next year.

According to the information, this forecast was prepared by the ministry taking into account the actual inflation level for the elapsed period of 2026, the relative decline in global commodity prices, including food prices, and its impact on import prices, the dynamics of the nominal effective exchange rate index, the assumption of maintaining a stable currency exchange rate, as well as the impact of changes in regulated tariffs on goods and services.

At the same time, the Ministry of Economy expects that annual inflation in the country will amount to 5.7% by the end of 2026.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-August of the current year, consumer prices rose by 5.7% compared to the same period of 2024. In August, annual inflation also stood at 5.7%, while compared to July, consumer prices increased by 0.2%.
