Shoigu: Moscow and Baku have overcome the crisis in bilateral relations
Moscow and Baku have overcome the crisis in relations; the next step should be the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of the members of the presidium of the scientific-expert council of the Security Council.
"We note with satisfaction that the recent crisis period in bilateral ties has been overcome as a result of the joint efforts of Moscow and Baku. Now the common objective is seen in ensuring that Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation develops progressively in accordance with the agreements of the leaders," he noted.
According to Shoigu, Russia proceeds from the premise that relations with Azerbaijan should develop on the basis of the bilateral treaty and legal framework, including the Declaration on Allied Interaction signed at the highest level, as well as on the principles of good neighborliness and partnership.
