According to the publication's source, 30-year-old Tigran was detained on August 7. Preliminarily, a 33-year-old man is also involved in the case alongside him. They are accused of kidnapping by a group of persons with the use of violence for mercenary motives (clauses "a", "v", "zh", "z" of part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Sinarsky District Court of Kamensk-Uralsky, at the request of the investigation, sent both detainees to a pretrial detention center, the joint press service of the Sverdlovsk courts reported.
In 2016, Tigran Chichakyan was sentenced to nine years behind bars on charges of robbery and murder. He was released on August 16, 2024. He had recently been living in the Beloyarsky district.
The murder case for which Tigran was tried turned out to be high-profile. According to the investigation, on April 19, 2015, the Armenian, who was 18 years old at the time, was relaxing at the café "U Sashi" on Alpinistov Street. Football player Emil Huseynov was also there drinking with his friends. During the night, a quarrel broke out between the two groups, and a mass brawl ensued. Tigran stabbed his opponent in the chest several times with a knife. The wounds proved fatal.
Tigran's brother, Andranik Chichakyan, was hospitalized in serious condition after the altercation. His frontal bone was fractured during the fight, his friends said. In 2017, Andranik ended up in the dock on charges of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm. Two years later, he was caught committing robbery again, for which he was sent to a penal colony for three years.
Tigran himself did not plead guilty to the murder of the Azerbaijani football player.
Midfielder Emil Huseynov was a fairly well-known football player in Azerbaijan. He played for the clubs "Neftchi", "Karvan", and "Absheron". In 2011, he ended his career and moved to Yekaterinburg to help a relative with business.
