Hidayat Heydarov and Zelim Kotsoev have been included in the team for the World Judo Championship in Baku

The preliminary roster of the Azerbaijan national judo team for the home World Championship includes 23 athletes - 17 men and 6 women. They are represented in 12 weight categories.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan, the championship will be held in Baku from October 4 to 11.

The competitions will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena. Individual tournaments will be held on October 4-10, and mixed team competitions on October 11.

The men's team will compete under the guidance of head coach Richard Trautman. The women's team will be led by head coach Amina Abdellatif.

Preliminary roster of the Azerbaijan national team

Women:

• Up to 48 kg - Shafag Hamidova, Kenul Aliyeva;

• up to 52 kg - Gultaj Mamedaliyeva;

• up to 57 kg - Khadija Gadeshova;

• up to 70 kg - Sudaba Agayeva;

• over 78 kg - Madina Kaisinova.

Men:

• Up to 60 kg - Balabay Agayev, Ahmed Yusifov;

• up to 66 kg - Ruslan Pashayev, Turan Bayramov, Nizami Imranov;

• up to 73 kg - Hidayat Heydarov, Rashid Mamedaliyev;

• up to 81 kg - Zelim Tskayev, Omar Rajabli, Vusal Galandarzade;

• up to 90 kg - Murad Fatiyev, Eljan Hajiyev, Suleyman Shukurov;

• up to 100 kg - Zelim Kotsoev;

• over 100 kg - Ushangi Kokauri, Kenan Nasibov, Jamal Gamzatkhanov.
