Guseyn Gasanov has settled his multi-million tax debt
Russian blogger of Azerbaijani origin Huseyn Hasanov, who is charged with money laundering of criminally obtained income, has fully settled his debts to the tax service in the amount of 170 million rubles (over 3.7 million manats).
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, the blogger's defense team clarified that the payments were made back in 2024. Taking into account all accrued penalties and fines, the total amount paid by Hasanov to the budget amounted to approximately 300 million rubles, which is equivalent to more than 6.6 million manats. At the same time, the lawyer emphasized that his client categorically denies guilt in money laundering.
It should be recalled that law enforcement authorities had previously approved the indictment in the criminal case against Hasanov. He is charged with committing a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, concerning the laundering of large sums of money. At present, the blogger has been arrested in absentia and is on an official wanted list.
