Chinese scientists are creating an AI translator from animal language to human

Chinese technology corporation Baidu has embarked on an ambitious development that could forever change human-animal interaction. The company is creating an innovative AI translator capable of deciphering animal communication signals and translating them into language understandable to humans.
Journalists from the South China Morning Post discovered a patent for this revolutionary technology. According to the documentation, the system will use advanced machine learning algorithms to comprehensively analyze voice signals, body language, and biological changes in animals, converting them into messages understandable to humans.
The developers realistically assess the technology's capabilities - it doesn't yet promise full-fledged dialogues in the spirit of the famous Dr. Dolittle. However, the system will be able to significantly facilitate understanding of pets' basic needs: hunger, discomfort, or the desire for their owner's attention. For accurate translation, a whole complex of factors will be analyzed - from the tonality of barking to the slightest changes in posture and behavioral patterns of the animal.
Attempts to create similar translators have been made before. A striking example is the Japanese device for interpreting dog barking, which was highly praised and included in the list of best inventions of 2002 according to the authoritative Time magazine.
However, until now, such developments have not gone beyond amusing gadgets with limited functionality. If Baidu specialists manage to implement the declared project in full, this could be a real technological breakthrough that will open a new era in the relationship between humans and their four-legged companions.
