The Pentagon announced the number of American service members wounded in the Middle East

Around 100 American service members have been injured as a result of Iran's strikes on U.S. military bases in the Middle East. This was reported by CBS News, citing sources at the Pentagon.

The figures refer to Iranian attacks on the bases during just two weeks in July.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Sean Parnell confirmed that the network's report is accurate. He explained that since July 7, approximately 100 military personnel have sustained injuries of varying severity. The casualties mostly suffered mild traumatic brain injuries. According to Parnell, at least 96% of them have already returned to military duty.
