The international community has recognized Azercell's potential in the field of cybersecurity

The company became the first corporate organization in Azerbaijan to be admitted to FIRST

"Azercell Telecom" company has officially become a member of FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams) - one of the world's leading organizations uniting information security incident response teams. Thus, Azercell became the first and only corporate organization in Azerbaijan to join the global FIRST network. The company also became the first officially registered computer incident response team (Telecom CERT) in the country's telecommunications industry.

FIRST membership is granted to organizations only after passing a comprehensive international assessment covering cybersecurity management systems, incident response capabilities, and international cooperation potential. Today, the forum unites 874 cyber incident response teams from 118 countries, including such leading global technology companies as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Cisco. Azerbaijan is also represented in FIRST by teams from the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, the National Cybersecurity Agency, and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azercell's joining FIRST confirms that the company's cybersecurity activities meet international standards, and the company itself is recognized as a reliable partner of the global cybersecurity community. This achievement is the result of Azercell's years of consistent work in developing its own cybersecurity system.

The company improves its processes in accordance with the Information Security and Cybersecurity Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2027, consistently strengthening its technological capabilities. As part of this work, Azercell has expanded the application of artificial intelligence technologies in internal systems, enhancing automated incident analysis, vulnerability detection, and rapid risk assessment. Enhanced real-time monitoring capabilities allow identifying potential cyber threats at early stages and responding to them promptly. Azercell became the first telecommunications company in Azerbaijan to implement an artificial intelligence architecture for cyber threat detection and centralized management of the digital security ecosystem.

FIRST membership provides Azercell with access to an international platform for real-time cyber threat information sharing, early warning mechanisms for new threats, best global practices, and direct interaction with leading cyber incident response teams. This will enable the company to further enhance the effectiveness of prevention and rapid response to cyber incidents, strengthen the resilience of its network and digital services, and make an additional contribution to the development of Azerbaijan's cybersecurity ecosystem.

Azercell will continue to expand investments in cybersecurity and develop international cooperation, contributing to the further strengthening of the country's digital infrastructure security.
