New hero rank: Khalig Ibragimov became a captain of the 1st rank

Hero of the Patriotic War, officer of the Naval Forces of Azerbaijan Khalig Ibragimov has been promoted to the next military rank.

As Qafqazinfo has learned, the corresponding order was signed by Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

According to the document, Kh. Ibragimov has been promoted to the rank of Captain 1st Rank.

In the military rank system, Captain 1st Rank is equivalent to Colonel in the ground forces, and the next step in the officer's military career would be the senior officer rank of Rear Admiral.

During the Patriotic War, Khalig Ibragimov served in the ranks of the elite special operations unit of the Naval Forces (Navy) SAT (underwater assault groups). He took an active part in combat operations to liberate several districts, as well as in the assault and recapture of the strategic post where National Hero Mubariz Ibragimov once fought his last battle.

For the heroism displayed, by decree of the President of the country, Khalig Ibragimov was awarded the highest distinction — the title of Hero of the Patriotic War. His service record also includes the medals "For the Liberation of Jabrayil," "For the Liberation of Khojavend," "For the Liberation of Fuzuli," and "For the Liberation of Gubadly."

Today, the 41-year-old Captain 1st Rank continues to serve the Motherland, commanding one of the military units of the Naval Forces.
