Long-term residence permits will be issued to foreigners in Azerbaijan

Foreigners and certain stateless persons will be issued long-term temporary residence permits.

As reported by Oxu.Az, this issue is reflected in the draft amendments to the Migration Code, which was discussed today at a session of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.

According to the draft, it is proposed to include in the list of persons entitled to such permits the residents of agroparks, and in cases where the resident is a legal entity, its directors and deputy directors. In addition, it is proposed to include in this list agronomists, horticulture specialists, and veterinary doctors who are engaged by the resident for labor activities on the territory of Azerbaijan and have work experience in the relevant field.

If the amendments are adopted, the permits will be issued for the period from January 1, 2027 to January 1, 2032.
