Deputy Head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan Allahveren Ismailov highlighted the importance of international cooperation in combating digital threats.

As reported by Report, he made this statement at the VIII Summit of IT Leaders of Government Agencies, being held in Baku.

According to him, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in public administration, building digital capacity, and creating corresponding governance mechanisms are among Azerbaijan's key priorities.

Ismailov noted that the Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028 forms a significant foundation for work in this direction. "The main objective is to effectively utilize the capabilities of AI while ensuring the reliability, security, and responsible management of its application. In this context, the identification and assessment of AI-related risks in government agencies are of particular importance," he said.

According to him, the protection of government information systems cannot be limited to national-scale measures. "Since threats in the digital environment know no borders, international cooperation, experience sharing, the application of modern methods, and coordinated action against common risks are fundamental conditions for cyber resilience. Today's Summit is an important platform precisely for such dialogue," the Deputy Head of the Service concluded.
