The first participant of the FIFA U-15 World Championship and Festival has arrived in Azerbaijan

The FIFA U-15 World Championship and Festival will begin in Baku on October 22, organized in this format for the first time in the history of football. The participants of the competition have already started arriving in Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).

The first to arrive in the country was the national team of Nicaragua. On October 19, they were welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Thus, the reception of tournament participants has begun.

It is expected that representatives of 189 countries will take part in the championship and festival, which will last until October 30, and the total number of matches will be around one thousand. All preparatory work has been completed. The organizers intend to ensure that the competition is held at a high level.
