Massive drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region: dozens of people injured, including a child and three Chinese citizens

During a nighttime strike by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Moscow Oblast (Russia), 10 people were injured, including one child.

This information was released by the head of the region, Andrey Vorobyov.

"According to updated data, 10 people were injured as a result of the drone strike on Moscow Oblast, including one child," he wrote on Max.

According to A. Vorobyov, among those injured during the nighttime drone attack on the Moscow region were three Chinese citizens. All three were taken to Domodedovo Hospital.

"In Domodedovo, seven people required assistance. A 27-year-old man with a shrapnel wound to the shin refused hospitalization. Six other victims, including three citizens of the PRC, were hospitalized at Domodedovo Hospital: a 74-year-old man with multiple shrapnel wounds (he is being prepared for transfer to a capital city center), a 53-year-old man with an open femur fracture, a 26-year-old man with a shin wound, and three more men with shrapnel wounds," he emphasized.

During the night of July 20 and the morning of that day, Moscow and the Moscow region (Russia) were subjected to a massive drone attack. Several fires have already been recorded in the region.

Starting from 02:53 Moscow time (03:53 Baku time), Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin began actively posting that air defense systems were operating in the region. Based on his statements, as of 04:05 (05:05), air defense had allegedly already shot down 58 drones. Notably, in two publications it was stated that the drones were simply shot down, rather than "on approach to Moscow." This may suggest that some of the drones could have reached the city.

Incidentally, some Russian media outlets reported that a missile threat alert had been issued in Moscow Oblast but was later lifted.

Closer to 04:00 (05:00), OSINT channels began mass-publishing footage showing at least one fire. Preliminarily, an oil depot in the Moscow suburb of Podolsk was hit by drones.

Shortly after, information emerged that there was not one but two or even three fire sites in the city. One of these locations may have been a Wildberries warehouse. At least, judging by the footage, staff evacuation had begun there. The "Grivno" industrial park in Motovilovo may also have been attacked.

The authorities have not yet commented on the consequences in any way.

As a result of the Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, six people in the capital sustained blast injuries. Three of the victims are foreign citizens.

This information was released by the press service of Domodedovo Hospital, where the wounded were taken.

According to updated data, one of the victims — a man (born in 1974) — is in serious condition. He continues to receive the necessary medical care.

Meanwhile, the main consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on Moscow Oblast were recorded in Podolsk, Domodedovo, and the Odintsovo urban district.

This was stated by the region's governor, Andrey Vorobyov.

According to preliminary information, one person was injured in Domodedovo due to a fire at a private residential house, and another on the M4 highway, where a drone fell near a vehicle.
