The United States on the brink of a full-scale war with Iran

The United States is approaching the start of a full-scale war with Iran following the deaths of American military personnel in Iraq and Jordan.

This was reported by The Washington Post (WP), citing an American official.

According to the publication, the Pentagon has begun increasing the number of military aircraft in the Middle East. At the same time, the expansion of U.S. military operations may be complicated by dwindling air defense supplies and long-range munitions, as well as limitations on the ability to deploy additional troops and aircraft to the region due to combat damage.

The official noted to WP that the U.S. lacks sufficient resources to conduct operations safely.

The latest escalation of the American-Iranian conflict began on July 8. For the first time since the signing of the memorandum between Washington and Tehran, the U.S. Armed Forces launched several series of strikes on the territory of the Islamic republic, allegedly in response to an attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. On the same day, American President Donald Trump announced the end of the ceasefire with Iran. As part of retaliatory actions, Tehran began striking U.S. Middle Eastern installations located in the territories of Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman.
