Scientists named the exact date of the onset of the ice age on Earth

A joint study by Russian and Finnish scientists has shown that the Earth is on the verge of serious cooling, which could lead to a new Little Ice Age.
The work was published in the scientific journal Geosciences.
Specialists from the Kola Science Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Finnish Institute of Natural Resources analyzed tree ring data for the past 7,600 years. Using artificial intelligence methods, they concluded that a sharp temperature drop may occur between 2063 and 2073.
According to Elena Kasatkina, a leading researcher at the KSC RAS, the upcoming cooling could cause extreme weather conditions and serious social consequences. History already knows examples of such climatic upheavals - for instance, the Little Ice Ages in 1310-1370 and 1645-1715.
Scientists believe the cause of such changes is the cyclical decrease in solar activity and major volcanic eruptions. Although this may temporarily slow down global warming, the long-term consequences for humanity could be extremely serious.
The study also confirms that the Earth's climate changes cyclically with intervals of 300-400 years.
