NASA made an important announcement about Mars - in the next 5 years...

Acting Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Janet Petro stated that the space agency will not be able to carry out a manned flight to Mars that astronauts would survive in the next five years.
This is reported by the newspaper Politico.
According to Petro, if we look at things realistically, NASA is simply not ready to send a mission to Mars in the foreseeable future, expecting astronauts to return alive. She emphasized that such a mission involves enormous risks and dangers, about many of which NASA does not yet have enough information.
"I've had many conversations with different people. And none of them believe that it is possible or feasible at this time," noted the acting NASA director.
Not long ago, American entrepreneur and director of the space corporation SpaceX Elon Musk stated that humans will first set foot on Mars in 5-7 years.
