The behavior of a student at a Baku school sparked discussions
Footage has spread on social media showing an 8th-grade student from Baku comprehensive secondary school №212 performing dangerous acrobatic stunts right inside the educational institution. According to the school administration, this teenager systematically violates behavioral rules.
In connection with this situation, the school management and psychologist held preventive conversations with the student, provided appropriate recommendations, and offered necessary support. However, despite repeated invitations for the parents to come to the school, positive results have not yet been achieved.
What causes aggressive and inappropriate behavior among teenagers?
According to psychologist Ilaha Dadashova, behavioral disorders are formed not at school but in the family.
"Every teenager strives for self-affirmation. Some channel this aspiration in a negative direction. Often the cause is an incomplete family and insufficient attention from parents. Because behavioral disorders are formed not at school but specifically in the family. We must not only correct the behavior of such children but also identify their hidden abilities and skills. We must not forget that one of the characteristic features of adolescence is the desire to find one's place in society and acquire a certain status," the specialist added.
Sociologist Mail Yagub, in turn, noted that today one of the most powerful factors influencing teenagers is social media and the behavior demonstrated there by some users.
"Children and teenagers adopt what they see on social media and reflect it in their actions. Today, social networks have become like an enemy of the morality and behavior of teenagers and children. In this matter, both parents and teachers must exercise maximum attentiveness," he said.
