Due to the mass return of Azerbaijani residents who visited various regions of the country during the Novruz holidays, increased traffic intensity is observed on highways.

BAKU.WS reports this with reference to the Main Department of the State Road Police (MDSDP).

The structure appealed to road users to observe safety rules so that the celebration of Novruz would not be overshadowed by unwanted incidents. The police ask drivers not to get behind the wheel when tired or sleepy, and passengers not to remain indifferent to such cases.

"We especially urge drivers to pay attention to the technical condition of vehicles before departure, to correctly assess road and weather conditions, to strictly observe the rules of overtaking and maneuvering, as well as speed limits," emphasized the MDSDP.

The Road Police reminds that drivers and passengers traveling long distances can take advantage of the conditions created for short-term rest at stationary traffic police posts located on roads of republican significance.
