Owners of these cars may face serious problems

In recent years, more and more cars with steering wheels that have been moved from the right side to the left are being imported into Azerbaijan. The main reason is their lower cost compared to originally left-hand drive vehicles. However, experts warn that such vehicles are a source of increased danger in terms of accidents and fires.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, such cases have become common among these budget cars.

According to car sales expert Eldeniz Jafarov, the risk of road accidents with vehicles that have modified steering wheels is extremely high. He emphasized that many buyers choose these cars solely because of their affordable price, without thinking about the possible consequences.

Note that the import of right-hand drive cars to Azerbaijan has been prohibited since 1998, however, the use of such cars manufactured before the specified year is not restricted by law.
