Ilham Aliyev received the Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Asset Management

On September 25, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Connor Teskey, Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Asset Management, one of the world's leading investment companies.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the conversation, the meeting between our head of state and Connor Teskey in Davos in January of this year was recalled with satisfaction. The significance of the protocol of intent on long-term strategic cooperation signed between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and Brookfield Asset Management was noted.

The meeting discussed the expansion of investment cooperation between our country and the company, in particular potential projects in the areas of energy transition, renewable energy, energy storage systems, and digital infrastructure. The importance of Azerbaijan's energy potential in terms of strengthening our country's position as a regional energy hub was also addressed.

Brookfield, with assets under management exceeding 1 trillion US dollars, is one of the world's largest owners and operators of energy, telecommunications, digital, transport infrastructure, and other real assets. The company's infrastructure platform includes more than 308,000 telecommunications facilities, 77,000 kilometers of fiber optic networks, 150 data centers, 36,300 kilometers of railway network, and 3,200 kilometers of toll roads.
