Russell topped both practice sessions of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

George Russell was the fastest in both free practice sessions of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the Mercedes driver once again set the best time in the second session. His teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished second, while Max Verstappen from Red Bull came third.

Russell completed his best lap in 1 minute 43.347 seconds.

Earlier, the Briton also topped the first practice session. On Friday, the drivers will take part in the third practice and qualifying, while the race will be held on Saturday, September 26.

The second free practice session of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has started in Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the session started at 16:00.

In the first free practice, Mercedes driver George Russell showed the best result. Max Verstappen from Red Bull finished second, while Charles Leclerc from Ferrari came third.

As a reminder, the Grand Prix in Baku will conclude on September 26.
