Over the past 5 years, Azerbaijan's non-oil industry has demonstrated growth of 50%.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, speaking at the II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.

According to the minister, in the period from 2021 to 2025, real growth in the non-oil and gas sector averaged 6% per year. "During this period, non-oil industry grew by 50%, and non-oil and gas exports nearly doubled," M. Jabbarov emphasized.

Last year, the share of the non-oil and gas economy in Azerbaijan's gross domestic product reached 71%.

According to forecasts, this figure is planned to be brought to 82% by 2030.

The minister noted that the main priority remains the transition from transport corridors to economic ones, with the transformation of the Azerbaijani economy into a diversified, export-oriented model led by the private sector.
