Azerbaijani and Armenian diplomats met again in New York

On September 24, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (RA) Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia (RA) Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting in New York within the framework of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It is noted that the ministers, emphasizing the importance of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, reviewed the progress achieved following the agreements reached within the framework of the 2025 Washington Peace Summit. Special attention was given to the opening of economic and transport infrastructure between the countries.

In this context, trade and transit ties between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia were highlighted as a clear example of the benefits both sides can derive from peace.

The ministers exchanged views on opportunities for advancing a positive agenda on various multilateral platforms.

They also agreed to continue direct dialogue.

It should be noted that this is the second meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian diplomats held in New York. The first took place in September of last year.
