President of Azerbaijan: More than 70% of GDP comes from the non-oil sector

Although Azerbaijan, thanks to its significant financial resources, can acquire any technology, human potential and accumulated experience play a key role in the country's sustainable development.

As reported by AZERTAG, President Ilham Aliyev stated this at an event within the framework of the II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

The head of state noted that the nearly one hundred percent literacy rate of the country's population and the extensive work carried out in the field of education play an important role in strengthening human capital.

Emphasizing the successful management experience accumulated in the oil and gas sector, President Ilham Aliyev noted that, although oil and gas currently account for more than 90% of the country's exports, cooperation with international partners continues to contribute to reducing their dominant role in exports.
