Saakyan admitted that separatists in Karabakh were armed by Armenia

The first calls for arming in Karabakh were made directly at rallies, and weapons were supplied from Armenia.
As Report informs, this was stated by defendant Bako Sahakyan at today's court hearing in the case against representatives of the former separatist regime in Karabakh.
According to him, villages and cities were being armed. "Some of the weapons came from Soviet military units stationed in the region. Weapons also came from Armenia. These were the main sources of weapon supplies," he said.
Note that today, the Baku Judicial Complex is holding another hearing on the criminal case against the accused representatives of the former separatist regime for war and other serious crimes. The hearing is chaired by Judge Zeynal Agayev of the Baku Military Court.
There are 15 people accused in the case: Arkady Ghukasyan, Araik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, David Ishkhanyan, David Babayan, Leva Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan, Garik Martirosyan, Melikset Pashayan, Davit Allahverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Vasily Beglaryan and Erik Gazaryan.
