President of Azerbaijan: We have enormous potential in the field of renewable energy

President Ilham Aliyev announced the priority directions for the development of our country's economy at an event within the framework of the II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

As reported by AZERTAC, highlighting several priority directions, the head of state said:

"First of all, it is renewable energy sources. We have enormous potential. There are opportunities for creating solar and wind power plants. Our goal is to minimize the consumption of natural gas and use these reserves for export. In the next five years, renewable energy will be widespread in Azerbaijan."
