School uniform compliance checks to be conducted in Azerbaijan's schools

Monitoring related to the introduction of a uniform dress code in state general education institutions is beginning across Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Baku City Education Department, the monitoring is expected to verify compliance with the requirements for a unified school uniform for students, established by the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as teachers' adherence to the rules of wearing clothing appropriate to the nature of pedagogical activity and the business environment.

"Control over compliance with the rules regarding the uniform dress code in educational institutions is carried out by school administration. Relevant issues related to the dress code are discussed and resolved by pedagogical councils.

In addition, ensuring that students attend classes in the established school uniform is the direct responsibility of parents.

It should be noted that the main purpose of introducing uniform dress code requirements is to create a disciplined, neat, and equitable educational environment in educational institutions," the statement said.
