Veteran of the Patriotic War: The outcome of a battle is not decided by weapons
The combat journey of Patriotic War veteran Aslan Sharifov began long before 2020. The man, who served in the special forces, also participated in the April battles of 2016.
When the Patriotic War began on September 27, 2020, Aslan Sharifov once again found himself on the front line.
He entered combat on the Fuzuli front and then participated in carrying out combat missions on the Jabrayil front.
In one of the battles, while changing position, A. Sharifov was wounded in the right arm by enemy sniper fire.
"There was a crack. The unit commander asked what happened. I replied: nothing, my arm is broken. I am proud that we prevailed in this war. Any state can have weapons, tanks, cannons. But the outcome of a battle is not decided by weapons," the veteran noted.
Aslan Sharifov has been awarded the medals "For the Liberation of Fuzuli," "For the Liberation of Jabrayil," "For Distinction in Combat," "For Military Merit," "For Bravery," "Participant of the Patriotic War," and "For Valor."
