Incident in Sheki: Will the Armenian Side Return the Azerbaijani Serviceman to Baku?
The Azerbaijani serviceman detained in Armenia may soon be returned to Azerbaijan as a gesture of goodwill, without expecting any reciprocal steps from Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this opinion was expressed by lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan on the "Oragir" program.
According to him, it is too early to make a final assessment of the circumstances of what happened and whether the charges correspond to the actual circumstances of the case. Khudoyan drew attention to the contradictory information that emerged immediately after the incident, when the investigation had only just begun.
In Khudoyan's opinion, what raises doubts above all is the fact that certain details about the circumstances of the incident were made public on the very first day, when a thorough investigation could not yet have been conducted.
