Preserving the unique ecosystem of the Caspian is a common task of all Caspian states.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the Caspian Environmental Summit in Turkmenbashi.
Emphasizing that over the past years, the Caspian states have established a broad contractual and legal framework, the head of state said that Azerbaijan is a party to virtually all five-party international legal documents. President Ilham Aliyev also noted the historic significance of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea signed in 2018, pointing out that it was the result of many years of joint work by the five Caspian states.
