Heavy machinery has been dispatched to four rivers in Zagatala due to the threat of flooding
In the Zagatala district, due to rising water levels in rivers, work is being carried out to regulate riverbeds and reinforce banks using heavy equipment.
As Report conveys, this was announced by the district's Water Management and Melioration Systems Operation Department.
According to the agency, heavy rains that fell on October 1 and 2 significantly raised the water levels in the district's mountain rivers and created a flood threat.
"In order to prevent possible consequences, since yesterday evening, work has been underway to regulate riverbeds and reinforce banks at the most hazardous sections of the Talachay, Mukhakhchay, Bakmyazchay, and Sabunchu rivers," the statement said.
