ATTENTION citizens: temperatures in Azerbaijan will drop sharply from this date

Unstable weather is expected in Azerbaijan in the first days of October.

As reported by Oxu.Az with reference to the National Hydrometeorological Service, from the afternoon of October 1 to October 5, rain is expected in some regions of the country, heavy in places.

In the Nakhchivan AR, Karabakh, East Zangezur, Gazakh-Ganja, Balakan-Sheki, Central Aran, Guba-Gusar, and Mountain Shirvan regions, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail in places are expected. Snowfall is possible in high-mountain areas.

Due to the precipitation, water levels are expected to rise in the rivers of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, as well as the Lankaran-Astara region. Short-term floods and mudflows are possible in some areas.

Strong westerly winds are forecast in some parts of the country on October 2–3.

Against the backdrop of worsening weather conditions, air temperatures will drop by 5–8 degrees compared to previous days.
