Six years have passed since the liberation of the village of Sugovushan from occupation

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the liberation of the village of Sugovushan in the Agderin district from occupation.

On October 3, 2020, the Azerbaijani army wrote a new glorious page in the history of the liberation of our lands from occupation - on this day, several territories were liberated.

President Ilham Aliyev announced on his social media page on X (then Twitter - ed.) the liberation of Sugovushan by the Azerbaijani army and the raising of the Azerbaijani flag on these territories. Also, according to the decision of Ilham Aliyev, the historical name of Sugovushan was restored - Sugovushan.

During the same day, the Azerbaijani army completely liberated from occupation the village of Talysh in the Terter district, the villages of Mehdili, Chakhyrly, Ashaghy Maralyan, Sheybey, and Guyjag in the Jabrayil district, as well as the village of Ashaghy Abdurrahmanly in the Fuzuli district.
