SOCAR and PETROCI reviewed new areas of cooperation and development of the Baleine field
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and PETROCI Holding reviewed the work carried out within the framework of the Baleine oil and gas field project.

At the meeting between the President of the State Oil Company Rovshan Najaf and the CEO of PETROCI Holding Fatoumata Sanogo, satisfaction was expressed with the cooperation between the two companies on the Baleine oil and gas field development project, and the work carried out within the framework of the project was reviewed.
The parties exchanged views on the development of mutually beneficial partnership and discussed cooperation prospects in the fields of oil exploration and production, oil and petroleum products trading, oil refining, digitalization, artificial intelligence implementation, human capital development, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
It should be noted that the Baleine field is an offshore oil and gas field located off the coast of Côte d'Ivoire. It was discovered in 2021, and commercial production began in 2023. Currently, daily production exceeds 62 thousand barrels of oil and 2.1 million cubic meters of gas. SOCAR holds a 10-percent stake in the project.
